for those who dont know bleach is revolved around the the fact that some times spirits are chained to the mortal realm, if they were brutaly hurt at or after death they transform into horid beasts called hollows.soul reapers have the job to dispatch hollows and keep balence of the mortal realm. neither can be seen by people of normal spiritual energy.
ichigo has always seen and been able to talk to spirits still chained to the world.one day a hollow attacks ichigo and rukia (a soul reaper) come and saves his life.in doing so she touched him and he accedently stole almost all of her spirit energy and got her zanpakto, a soul reapers sword to kill hollows. for the first season ichigo grudenly becomes the replacement sould reaper while rukia recovers and finds a way to get her powers back.
the second season rukia is arested by the soul society for giving her powers to ichigo. ichigo was suposed to be killed. but one of the officers, renji, turned out to be her childhood friend and spared ichigo with critical injuries.ichigo chased after them to save rukia since she was falsly sentenced to execution.
bleach now is actualy gurther than that in the american version....but i dont know much about it....something about more kon-like things and bounts are bad mmkay
