this is one of those 80 saturday morning cartoons that you would find on cbs.it was like a veriety hour show. it would start off with a live action mario and luigi hosting from their beat up plumbers shack.then they would introdue a cartoon....there were only 2 a freeze frame serious zelda cartoon and a mario anime.
now the anime in its self is noteworthy for a few reasons.each episode is named after a bad pun.it was poorly animated to the point that astroboy and gigantor looked at it and said "wow you fail...horidly", and they were made in the 40's!!!!!! not only were they badly animated but it was also seemed like it was dubed by a hung over plumber not in control of his emotions not a professional voice actor.you watch it and you wonder "did they even look at the anime while they dubed this?"
now the anime content is also some thing to talk about.the whole dialuage consits of mario game or pasta/stereo-typical italian puns.when the show seemed to go astray, throw in a mario pun!there we are back on subjuct now!!!let show some background of mario... lets a some thing about him being hungry and wants pasta!!!
ok.first since when was mario italian? last time i knew he was from manhaten...for all we know he is spanish.next, how did he become a plumber??? was it just because he wore overalls and slid down pipes???
