and studio gonzo (maker of full metal panic and red garden) has come out with an amazing colection recently:gantz perfect score colection (to my dismay a good friend of mine won, while me and my bad luck got a sushi wind up toy...)

the good news is she let me watch it.warning: you will only get to see the first 3 or so episodes on ondemand for a reason,there is a lot of sex, violence, drugs, and everything else bad in the world.the base concept is that when a selected person dies a copy is made and sent to gantz,a sentient black orb filled with weapons.gantz says your life is his then sends you to kill an alien within a timelimit.

the background concept is based on the very ugly very real world and the daily complexes that people go through. beyond the men in black thing there is a much much deeper storyline that compares sort of to the hidden one in neon genisis evangelion.

needless to say it was a very good anime but should not be watched with your folks considering the akward level (like there is a couple scenes with people full blown going at it...)
