Hey everyone this is Link here with some of the latest news about the newest version of the Nintendo DS Lite. The newest handheld has a couple of new features. For one there's a camera put in it so now you can take pics. I'm guessing since there's a camera there's going to be either a memory card that is going to be a ds card or maybe just some memory on the ds.

I guess for some people having a camera on your dsl is a good thing...although Nintendo did say that they didn't want the WII to be nothing but a gaming system...has Nintendo changed it's views on gaming systems? Also...do you really need a camera on your DSL? I mean don't most of us have cell phones with built in cameras, heck even my 9 year old kid sis has one. Well then again some might now but there is one thing the DSL loses with this new feature. And to some, it's kind of improtant. Well here take a look for yourself.



As you can see. There's no slot to be able to play any of the original and latest GBA games. So is this a plus or a minus? Well think of that one game you always have in that slot to play when you get bored. Maybe it's tetris, one of the many Mario games, or maybe it's a pokemon game. Well now you won't be able to play them. Now you just have your ds games to play.

the thing with the dsi (that is the name for the new ds) is that with the 2 camera you will be able to do stuff with the pic that you take.not only that the systems software as a whole will be more more open like the psp.it will have a a sd card port and will also be able to hold media files and browse the web.according to the nintendo chanel the dsi will become up with new things to do with the cams with later updates,like possibly a live chat with those who have your friend codes.there is also a possiblity of haveing virtual console for the the portible (especialy since the wii's update have been focused on the sd slot and card functions.) 

there are even rumors that nintendo might start a vc for the ds with gb and gba game at a discounted price to be stored onto a sd card. or if you are a super haker you could place a rom on it your self.truthfuly i could se them selling nes,snes, and possibly sega gennisis and game gear games on the dsi since the button sceem is identical to the snes controler.

to me the trade off seems equal. i will be getting a dsi (premere night, april 5th) but i wont be getting rid of my dsx (the first more sturdier gen of the ds line).i like the fact of having a game in reserve and the perk of transfering my pokemon over into diamon or platinum from fire red of ruby but i also like linking up to stratagy wiki when i am stuck in a game or bulba pedia if i need to figure out how to evolve something in platinum. (mine will be black btw)

i highly sugets seeing the nintendo chanel info add bfore you are completely turned off of it.
